Was D3165 scrapped at C.F. Booth, Rotherham?

D3165 was withdrawn in July 1967 whilst based at Colwick, Nottingham.  Disposal listings  generally give its disposal as C. F. Booth, Rotherham. This is likely because they have used ‘The Railway Observer’ of June 1968 (p.207).

The last traced observation of D3165 was at Colwick on 20th September 1967 (‘The Railway Observer’ June 1967 p.410) but it was not recorded on a subsequent visit on 2nd February 1968 (‘The Railway Observer’ April 1968 p.118). Although D3165 is recorded as having been scrapped at C. F. Booth, Rotherham by 23/04/68 (‘The Railway Observer’ June 1968 p.207) it is the only locomotive listed as scrapped their at the time that was not actually observed. Thus, any observations of D3165 after 20th September 1967 are keenly sought.

Whilst  it is likely D3165 was scrapped at C. F. Booth, Rotherham this is unproven.
