Was D2254 scrapped at Selhurst?

D2254 was withdrawn in July 1967 whilst based at Selhurst.  Disposal listings that give a disposal suggest that it was scrapped at Selhurst by British Rail staff.

‘The Railway Observer’ of August 1969 (p.265) does say ” D2254 withdrawn June 1967 was cut up  (apparently by B.R.) on site at Selhurst Depot , date unknown”. Subsequently three other locomotives have been recorded as being similarly scrapped, D3096, 15217 and 33041.   However, it is known D3096 wasn’t scrapped at Selhurst, see The Diesel Fabrications.  So if that wasn’t scrapped at Selhurst was that also the case with D2254.

Thus the scrapping of D2254 at Selhurst is unproven.
