Was D2750 scrapped at Coatbridge?

D2750 was withdrawn in November 1967 whilst based at Leith Central.  Disposal listings generally give its disposal as J. N. Connel, some the quoting Calder, others Coatbridge, as the precise location in Glasgow.   Calder being a district of Coatbridge. ‘Pronouced Life Extinct’ actually quotes Cadder which is concluded to be a typo for Calder.

The source is likely because they have used ‘The Railway Observer’ of October 1971 (p.336) which recorded its disposal as being to J. N. Connel, Calder in November 1967 along with D2705, D2723 & D2751.  This following an earlier appeal for information about the locomotives disposal.

No observations supporting disposal to Coatbridge have been traced.

Thus the disposal of D2750 to J. N. Connel, Calder, Coatbridge is unproven.
